Talking Women of the Dust - Youth

I am about to embark on the journey of writing the next book in the Women of the Dust series. Part of this process is to identify my new theme. The pillars of womanhood and sisterhood have already been established in the first book, the Matriarch, and with this book, I wanted to continue layering the fundamental elements of what it is to be a woman, particularly a young woman.

As with the Matriarch, there will be a focus on loneliness, responsibility and love, but this book will also focus on an integral part of us - innocence. I want to explore the innocence in our youth, and how this impacts hope, pride and passion, and ultimately, what happens as our innocence begins to fade.
